As a client of Karen Peck Massage & Bodywork, you can expect:

  • A skillful and effective therapeutic massage, conducted with your specific needs in mind to reduce stress, relieve pain, improve mobility and increase energy.
  • Privacy and confidentiality.
  • All calls will be returned within 24 hours.
  • Appointments are confirmed the day before your session.
  • A 24-hour cancellation notice is required to avoid billing.
  • Payment is due at the time of service.  Cash and checks accepted preceeding your session.
  • I do not provide direct billing for insurance but will gladly provide any needed information.
  • I perform only services for which I am qualified and can refer you to other health care providers for needs beyond my scope of practice.
  • I will keep records, which will be reviewed prior to each session.
  • Each session will be designed to meet your particular needs.
  • You will be draped with a sheet at all times during a session.  Only the parts of the body being worked on are exposed at any time.  The genitals are never exposed or massaged.
  • Sexual harassment or innuendo is not tolerated.  If the practitioner’s safety feels compromised, the sesion will end immediately and full payment will be retained.
  • Sessions begin and end at scheduled times. 
  • Sessions that begin late due to client tardiness end at the appointed time and are full price.
  • You will enjoy a clean and safe environment.
  • A variety of tehniques may be used.  Options will be discussed with you beforehand.
  • Please arrive 30 minutes early for your very first session to complete an intake form and postural assessment.
  • Expect to feel good!  Massage helps to facilitate your innate health and wellness.

To make your experience the most comfortable:

  • If possible, arrive showered and free of perfumes and cologne.
  • This is your time—relax, be as limp as a rag doll and let your therapist do the work.
  • Undress to the degree to which you are comfortable. 
  • Sometimes emotions may surface during a session.  This is normal.  Honor and express what you feel.
  • I will communicate with you periodically throughout the session so that the session may be adjusted to your preferences.
  • Plan to drink extra water after your session to aid in flushing toxins from your body, to extend the positive benefits of your massage.
